“A year ago I started the daunting task of archiving and preserving our family’s legacy of slides (2,300 of them, 8mm, Reel-to Reel, VHS, AND a million pictures, including those of my mother’s and grandmother’s that I acquired (loose and in albums). This was monstrous project!! I ended up hiring one of my friends to help me with it. It was too much for me to do alone and this was what she does for a living. And she’s FANTASTIC at it!!
Not only did she scan everything (not just pictures, but blueprints, diplomas, some kids projects), but she also organized it in boxes chronologically… AND saved them all in Dropbox for me to have digitally. She also included a type written table of contents so I can find things easily when needed.
This is the final result of all that work! And I couldn’t be happier. I’m now able to access every album/picture from my phone which is incredible.
This was a labor of love done for my children so that they can pass this on to their children.
